Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

Avorbi is built on a simple principle: your journal is yours. We do not collect it, store it, or send it anywhere. This policy explains exactly what that means in practice.

1. What data Avorbi collects

None. Avorbi does not collect any personal data. There is no account to create, no registration, and no login. You do not provide your name, email address, or any identifying information to use the app.

2. Where your journal entries are stored

Everything you write in Avorbi is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your entries never leave your device unless you choose to export them yourself.

Avorbi does not operate any servers. There is no backend, no database, and no cloud storage associated with this app.

3. Apple Intelligence

On supported devices, Avorbi can offer a short reflection and a follow-up question after an entry, powered by Apple Intelligence. This processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device models. No text from your entries is sent to Anthropic, Apple's servers, or any third party as part of this feature.

Use of Apple Intelligence is subject to Apple's own privacy policy. Avorbi has no involvement in or visibility into that processing.

4. Exports

Avorbi allows you to export your journal as a file. This export is initiated entirely by you and goes directly to wherever you choose to save it (Files, AirDrop, email, etc.). Avorbi receives no copy of your export and has no knowledge of where it goes.

5. App lock

Avorbi supports locking the app with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. This uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework, which operates entirely on your device. Avorbi does not store biometric data of any kind.

6. Analytics and crash reporting

Avorbi does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. No usage data, device identifiers, or diagnostics are sent to any external service.

7. Subscription and payment

Avorbi is available on a yearly auto-renewable subscription with a 3-day free trial. All payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, see, or store any payment information, billing address, or financial details of any kind.

When you subscribe, Apple provides us with a non-identifying token confirming that a valid subscription exists for your device. We receive no personal information — not your name, Apple ID, email address, or payment method — as part of this process.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or via the App Store. For Apple's own privacy practices regarding App Store purchases, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

8. Children's privacy

Avorbi is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no data at all, there is no data to protect, but we do not knowingly target or market to children.

9. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how Avorbi handles data, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Because we collect no data today, any future change that introduces data collection would be a significant one and will be communicated clearly.
